IA Gen use
At Mujer Andina, we are open to the responsible use of generative AI, as long as it is used as a support tool and does not replace the work of the authors. If generative AI has been used, it is requested that it be declared. As the Heredia Declaration (2024) clearly states, the author has the responsibility to:
Explicitly declaring the use of AI in research processes and the preparation of scientific texts—during any stage of the scientific publication process—is a sign of transparency that contributes to good practices for ensuring the reproducibility of science. In this regard, it is necessary to include a reliable explanation that mentions, at least:
• The AI model, its version, and the date of use.
• How it was used, identifying the interactions and combinations that can be articulated between models.
• What products and formats—of those generated by said interaction—were integrated into the publication of results.
• Cite and reference the model used, understanding the diversity and potential complexity of the interactions and combinations that can be articulated when using this tool.
