Open Access Policy, Copyright and CC License

This journal offers free and immediate access to its content, to offer free scientific knowledge and provide greater democratization of knowledge. The journal does not charge for the processing and submission of articles.

The authors retain all rights to the published material. The journal started with a CC BY NC license, but from 2023 it changes to a CC BY license to offer greater access to the content.

In support of open and immediate access to research, submissions of documents previously published on Preprints servers are accepted provided notice is given.

Mujer Andina fulfils the DOAJ definition of open access: The copyright holder of a scholarly work grants usage rights to others using an open license (Creative Commons or equivalent). This allows for immediate free access to the work and permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.
