The research proposes to develop a self-compacting concrete using the ACI 237R-07 methodology re-approved in 2019, with materials that are found in the city and a high-range water reducing additive based on polycarboxylate Eucoplast 8500HP adding SikaCem®-1 Fiber Synthetic Fibers, seeking in this way to enhance the mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete. The research presents a quantitative approach, in a descriptive level, making use of the hypothetical-deductive method and a quasi-experimental design is presented, thus being able to verify the hypotheses proposed. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling was carried out where the sample is equal to the population, with a total of 90 specimens. The characteristics of passing ability, filling ability and stability that are typical of this type of concrete were met, complying with The Guidelines for Self-Compacting Concrete (2006) and ACI 237R-07. According to the evaluation of the mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete, the addition of SikaCem®-1 Fiber Synthetic Fibers slightly improve mechanical properties up to 4.54% the unit weight, up to 11.39% the compressive strength, up to 12.47%. the flexural strength and up to 12.08% the elastic modulus. Concluding that the use of Synthetic Fiber in Self-compacting Concrete is favorable.
