Research and theses. Ten years after the University Law in Peru (2014-2024)

There is a clear impact of the current University Law on the research and thesis presentation processes in Peru, observed during the period 2014-2024, the first decade of the Law's validity, during which significant changes occurred in university higher education. of Peru. Among these changes is the preparation of theses to complete a university degree. In this decade, the number of theses increased nationally and their visibility also grew. According to data from RENATI, to date there are 142 digital repositories, unlike in 2016 when there were only 56. This important growth, apparently, is not It is consistent with the quality of the theses since most of them have no relationship between the conclusions, the method used and the proposed objectives. The objective of this article is to examine, by reviewing a random sample of 29 theses, their quality using a proprietary method called ALOT Methodology, a proposal that is based on the principles of systematic alignment and critical analysis of the objectives, methods and conclusions. It is concluded that there are elements that can be corrected in this area to promote the improvement of the quality of Peruvian education.
